Biopuro's BIO-FLA® bottles are made of renewable Bioplastic and 100% recyclable that is produced from the waste created following the agricultural sugar cane processing.The ethanol, which is normally obtained from petroleum, is instead made by fermenting molasses that would be thrown away.
When we chose this project, we loved the fact that waste molasses, a seemingly worthless waste, would allow us not to use petroleum.
This "green plastic" has the same characteristics as conventional plastic, but is produced without the use of petroleum.
The cultivation of sugarcane reduces global warming because, during its growth, like all plants, it absorbs CO₂ from the air, contributing to the reduction of the greenhouse effect.
Bioplastic saves more than 50% non-renewable energy and reduces CO₂ emissions by 60%.
